Job summary

Goodwill of the San Francisco Bay seeks a Retail Store Manager in Training (MIT) to complete a comprehensive program at a training location, learning all facets of retail operations and management techniques through hands-on rotations.

Upon completion, the MIT advances to a full-time Store Manager, leading a store team, managing operations, donations, customer service, and staff development to support Goodwill's mission.

Qualifications

• Two years’ work experience in retail management, preferably thrift.
• One year of customer service experience.
• Understanding of financial metrics, reporting, and budget management.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to pass a background check.
• Ability to speak and read English proficiently.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develops and executes retail operations plan to achieve goals for operating income, revenue, and production.
• Monitors product levels daily to achieve bottom line sales budget against targets.
• Ensures payroll costs and operating costs are managed to budget.
• Ensures Team Members deliver excellent customer service to donors and customers.
• Maintains store locations clean, well-kept, and aligned with Goodwill brand.
• Partners with community organizations to promote Goodwill mission.
• Oversees training and development of Team Members.
