Job summary

America’s Thrift Stores in Baton Rouge seeks a Manager in Training to step into a full-time leadership role within our Stores team. You will gain broad operational experience while supporting growth, supervising team members, and driving sales, service, and store performance.

You will coach staff, manage workflows, monitor inventories, and uphold safety, loss prevention, and merchandising standards as you train toward permanent management aligned with our mission and values across donations,

Qualifications

• Demonstrated leadership with ability to coach and develop a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer focus.
• Flexible schedule and willingness to relocate within surrounding states.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Successful background and drug screen checks required.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Asset Protection and People & Culture to investigate incidents and support follow-up with leadership.
• Delegate daily tasks to supervisors and team members to meet operational needs.
• Coordinate deposits, currency exchanges, and monitor cash handling for discrepancies.
• Lead a dynamic team while fostering a supportive, accountable environment.
