Job summary

America’s Thrift Stores in Alabama is seeking a Manager in Training to join our Stores department as a full-time leader. You will drive growth, supervise teams, and coordinate operations across sales, donations, and customer service while upholding our mission and values.

The role emphasizes strong leadership, communication, and flexibility, with opportunities to advance into permanent management and to relocate within surrounding states.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to lead and develop teams to deliver customer service excellence.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for a fast-paced retail environment.
• Willingness to relocate within Alabama, Tennessee, Georgia or surrounding states.
• Experience managing large teams (15+ employees) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Asset Protection and People & Culture to investigate incidents and follow up with leadership.
• Delegate daily tasks to supervisors to fulfill operational requirements.
• Coordinate deposits and currency exchanges, flag cash or security concerns.
• Lead a dynamic team and foster a supportive, accountable work environment.
• Uphold company policies, safety protocols, and standards for operational excellence.
• Provide coaching and feedback for team growth and performance.
• Contribute to onboarding and training of new team members.
