Job summary

Walgreens is offering an accelerated Store Manager development program conducted at Walgreens stores. Trainees will learn front-end and pharmacy operations under the Store Manager, complete certifications, and rotate through local stores to gain hands-on experience.

The program includes classroom, online, and on-the-job training, along with performance reviews and opportunities to attain a pharmacy technician license where required by state law.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 3 years retail management experience or High School Diploma/GED and 5 years of retail management experience.
• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (Except in Puerto Rico)
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including extended days, evenings, and weekend hours.
• Willingness to accept assignment into a Store Manager position, if an assignment is offered.
• Willingness to transfer to other Walgreens retail assets located within the same hiring Area.

Responsibilities

• Oversees the operation (front-end and pharmacy) of a Walgreens store.
• Shadows Store Manager and leads store operations.
• Supports store operations by shadowing or assisting the Store Manager in leading store during learning journey.
• Learns and implements compliance SOPs across front-end and pharmacy.
• Delivers customer service excellence and coaching to team members.
