Job summary

Walgreens Co. is seeking a candidate to learn and lead the full store operations, including front-end and pharmacy, through an accelerated development track toward Store Manager readiness.

The program includes classroom, online, and on-the-job rotations across several Walgreens stores in the area. You will shadow the Store Manager, participate in one-on-one growth conversations with District and Store Managers, and complete certifications necessary for Store Manager eligibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 3 years retail management experience or High School Diploma/GED and 5 years retail management experience.
• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (Except in Puerto Rico).
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including extended days, evenings, and weekend hours.
• Willingness to accept assignment into a Store Manager position, if an assignment is offered.
• Willingness to transfer to other Walgreens retail assets located within the same hiring Area.

Responsibilities

• Oversees store operations (front-end and pharmacy) under Store Manager guidance.
• Shadows Store Manager to learn and develop leadership and performance planning.
• Leads customer service initiatives and coaching to improve service metrics when applicable.
• Supports inventory management and loss prevention programs across store operations.
• Learns and implements SOPs across front-end and pharmacy and gains familiarity with store systems.
