The Salvation Army USA Central Territory is launching a Manager-in-Training program in St. Joseph, MO. The MIT program lasts 12 weeks and trains you across KC metro locations to prepare you for Store Manager I responsibilities.

MITs learn leadership, store operations, donor flow, budgeting, and customer service, with progression to managing a store generating significant annual sales. Travel within the metro is required during training.

Qualifications

• Previous retail or management experience preferred; strong leadership and communication skills.
• Must be willing to train at multiple Kansas City metro locations.
• Valid driver's license required and ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs.
• Must qualify for TSA MVR and be able to perform bank runs.

Responsabilités

• Lead store operations to meet daily, weekly, and monthly sales goals.
• Recruit, train, and develop staff while promoting a positive, mission-driven culture.
• Manage donation, production, and sales processes for efficiency and compliance.
• Oversee store appearance, safety, and customer experience standards.
• Maintain accurate financial reporting, including bank deposits and cash controls.
• Foster communication with Regional Managers and ARC leadership.
