The Store Manager In Training (SMIT) program is designed to prepare you for a CVS Store Manager position through a 16-week, self-paced, collaborative training. It includes virtual and hands-on learning experiences supported by your district leader, HR partner, training store manager, and store manager coach.

Key skills for this role include:

  2. Customer service excellence
  3. Merchandising strategy execution
  4. Inventory and asset management

SMITs are expected to:

  • Engage actively with leadership in key learning experiences
  • Support store management and uphold CVS values and policies
  • Align with the company's purpose of helping people on their path to better health
  • Be willing to accept promotion roles within the market

Promotion to Store Manager depends on performance and available openings. Candidates must be willing to transfer within the market and work flexible schedules.

Minimum qualifications include:

  • High School diploma or GED (required)
  • Bachelor's Degree (preferred)
  • Retail management experience or CVS supervisory experience
