The Store Manager In Training (SMIT) role is a development-focused position designed to prepare you for a CVS Store Manager role. The program lasts 16 weeks and combines virtual and hands-on learning experiences to develop your leadership skills. Support for your growth includes your District Leader, Human Resources Business Partner, Training Store Manager, and your Store Manager coach.

Note: Selection for the SMIT position does not guarantee promotion to Store Manager. Promotion depends on performance, availability, and other factors. Candidates must be willing to accept a Store Manager role at any location within the market and be able to transfer if needed. A high school diploma or GED is required; a bachelor’s degree is preferred, or relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
