Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Store Manager Candidate in Texas to support the Store Manager in supervising staff, merchandising, inventory, and daily store operations. Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• One year of experience in a retail environment preferred for external candidates.
• Ability to recruit, hire, and train staff.
• Ability to follow procedures and policies.
• Some store locations may prefer bilingual Spanish speakers.
• Strong math and cash handling knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Assist in recruiting and staffing activities.
• Assist with store merchandising and inventory management.
• Assist in all aspects of inventory management and damage control.
• Follow prescribed ordering practices to meet in-stock targets.
• Provide superior customer service leadership.
• Operate store in store manager's absence.
• Review operating statements to identify trends.
• Complete all paperwork and documentation on time.
