The Store Manager In Training (SMIT) role is designed to prepare you for a CVS Store Manager position through a self-paced, collaborative 16-week training program. The program includes virtual and hands-on learning experiences, supported by your District Leader, HR Business Partner, Training Store Manager, and Store Manager coach.

Key skills for this role include:

  1. Effective verbal and written communication to lead your team.
  2. Customer care to ensure high service levels.
  3. Merchandising strategies to support sales growth.
  4. Inventory and asset management to maintain profitability.

Responsibilities and expectations include:

  1. Engaging actively with your leader during the program to support your promotion pathway.
  2. Supporting your store as a management team member and leading in accordance with CVS values and policies.
  3. Engaging colleagues to support the company's purpose of helping people on their path to better health.
  4. Willingness to accept promotion roles within the market or transfer to other CVS stores as needed.
  5. Working a schedule that varies based on business needs.

Minimum requirements:

  1. High School diploma or GED (required).
  2. Bachelor's Degree (preferred).
  3. Retail management experience or experience as a CVS Supervisor.
