Job summary

Walgreens is offering an accelerated development program to prepare candidates for Store Manager roles. The program covers both front-end and pharmacy operations and includes classroom, online, and on-the-job rotations across stores in the area.

Participants will complete required certifications, shadow the Store Manager, and engage in ongoing development conversations with District and Store management, with the aim of readiness for permanent store leadership assignments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 3 years retail management experience or High School Diploma/GED and 5 years of retail management experience.
• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (Except in Puerto Rico)
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including extended days, evenings, and weekend hours.
• Willingness to accept assignment into a Store Manager position, if an assignment is offered.
• Willingness to transfer to other Walgreens retail assets located within the same hiring Area.

Responsibilities

• Learn Walgreens operations to lead full store operations across front-end and pharmacy.
• Shadow Store Manager and assist in supervising front-end and pharmacy operations.
• Complete accelerated program including all certifications needed for the Store Manager role.
• Attend classroom learning, online training, and on-the-job rotations as assigned.
• Develop continually by following development plans and performance conversations.
