CVS Health is seeking participants for the Store Manager In Training (SMIT) program, a 16-week development track combining virtual and hands-on learning. The program is designed to prepare you for future CVS Store Manager roles with guidance from leaders and store managers.

The role emphasizes leadership development, operational excellence, and completing assigned learning experiences within a market. Eligible graduates will be considered for promotions across designated CVS locations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Retail management experience or CVS supervisor experience.
• Ability to work a variable schedule and transfer within market.
• Willingness to promote to Store Manager across designated market.

• Manage inventory and assets to maintain profitability.

• Be willing to accept promotion roles within the market and at designated locations.
• Accept a promotion to Store Manager at any location in the designated market and transfer to other CVS Pharmacy stores in that market; work a schedule that may vary based on business needs.

About the Role

The Store Manager In Training (SMIT) program is a 16‑week development opportunity that combines virtual and hands‑on learning. It prepares participants for a future CVS Store Manager role and is supported by a District Leader, HR Business Partner, Training Store Manager, and a Store Manager coach.

Compensation and Benefits

Pay range: $18.50–$28.67 per hour. Full‑time position. Eligible for a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, paid time off, retirement savings, wellness programs and other resources.
