The Store Manager In Training (SMIT) program is designed to prepare you for a CVS Store Manager position through a structured 16-week development program. It includes virtual and hands-on training, supported by your District Leader, HR Business Partner, Training Store Manager, and Store Manager coach.

Key skills for this role include:

  1. Effective verbal and written communication
  2. Customer care and service
  3. Executing merchandising strategies
  4. Managing store inventory and assets

SMITs are expected to:

  1. Engage actively with leadership during the program
  2. Support store management and uphold CVS values
  3. Support company purpose of helping people on their path to better health
  4. Willingness to accept promotion and transfer opportunities within the market

Qualifications include:

  1. High School diploma or GED (required)
  2. Bachelor's Degree (preferred)
  3. Retail management or CVS supervisory experience (preferred)

Note: Selection does not guarantee promotion; promotion depends on performance and openings. Must be willing to transfer and work flexible schedules.
