Job summary

Walgreens is offering an accelerated Store Manager development program in the Lincolnton, NC area. Participants learn both front-end and pharmacy operations while completing rotations and certifications required for Store Manager eligibility.

You will shadow the Store Manager, support daily operations, and progress through defined learning objectives across customer service, inventory, and people management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 3 years retail management experience or High School Diploma/GED and 5 years of retail management experience.
• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (Except in Puerto Rico)
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including extended days, evenings, and weekend hours.
• Willingness to accept assignment into a Store Manager position, if an assignment is offered.
• Willingness to transfer to other Walgreens retail assets located within the same hiring Area.

Responsibilities

• Learn Walgreens operations to lead store across front-end and pharmacy.
• Shadow Store Manager and assist in opening/closing shifts.
• Analyze customer service trends and develop improvement plans.
• Gains experience supervising merchandising and promotions.
• Learn to manage inventory, pricing, receiving and transfers.
• Ensure compliance with laws and company policies.
• Participate in staff training and performance conversations.
