Job summary

Dollar General Corporation is seeking a Store Manager Candidate in South Carolina to support the Store Manager in daily operations, supervision of staff, inventory management, and merchandising execution. This role is designed to develop external candidates for the Store Manager position on a limited-term basis.

You will assist in recruiting, staffing, and ensuring store processes comply with company policies, while maintaining a safe, well-stocked store and delivering strong customer service

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in retail environment preferred for external candidates.
• Ability to recruit, hire and train staff to fulfill store needs.
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures and deposit controls.

Responsibilities

• Assist in recruiting and staffing activities.
• Assist with store merchandising and pricing per manager direction.
• Assist in inventory management and loss prevention practices.
• Conduct proper ordering to meet in-stock targets and support store needs.
• Provide customer service leadership and operate the store in the manager's absence.
• Review operating statements for trends and opportunities to improve profitability.
