Dollar General is seeking a Store Manager Candidate to support the Store Manager in implementing store processes, supervise staff, manage inventory, stocking and receiving, and ensure store needs are met. This role helps develop external candidates for the Store Manager position for a limited period.

The role emphasizes adherence to company procedures, cash controls, and maintaining a safe, well-organized store environment. Some travel to other locations may be required.

• Reads and interprets basic documents, safety rules and procedures.
• Performs standard mathematical calculations and percentages.
• Follows cash handling, deposit controls and cash accountability.
• Learns IBM cash register functions and reporting.
• Knows inventory management and merchandising practices.
• Understands safety, keys and security policies.
• Recruits, hires and trains staff while complying with laws and policies.
• Communicates effectively, both written and oral.
• Maintains organization and attention to detail.
• Solves problems in non-standard situations.
• Preference for bilingual Spanish speakers.

Responsabilidades

• Assist in inventory management and paperwork.
• Follow ordering practices to meet in-stock targets.
• Provide customer service leadership.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures.
• Participate in opening/closing store activities.
• Ensure safe deposit of funds and cash controls.
• Support financial integrity and security practices.
• Maintain clean, well-stocked stores and safe environment.
• Operate store in manager's absence.
• Review operating statements for trends and efficiency.
• Complete all paperwork and deadlines.
