Job summary

Sun Auto Tire & Service is seeking a Manager-in-Deck (MOD) to drive store performance, oversee operations, and maximize guest satisfaction. This role emphasizes financial and operational leadership, expense control, human resources management, and cost management to achieve sales and profitability targets.

The MOD will lead a team, collaborate with HR on hiring, conduct performance reviews, and ensure policy compliance while maintaining high standards of store presentation and customer service.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of management experience in the automotive industry.
• Experience coaching and leading a team to success through effective communication.
• Proven ability to develop and meet monthly, quarterly and annual sales and profit plans.
• Proven track record of consistently meeting and exceeding sales and profit goals.
• Automotive Technician experience preferred but not required.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and be able to work a minimum of five days, including Saturday.

Responsibilities

• Sets expectations and communicates job responsibilities, goals, training, development, and overall customer service.
• Ensures compliance with all company policies and procedures via meetings and store audits.
• In partnership with HR, recruits, interviews, and hires new employees.
• Conducts performance evaluations for all employees at regular intervals.
• Analyzes and measures business trends; develops plans to maximize sales and meet targets.
• Reviews invoices and daily reports to identify opportunities to grow the business.
• Maintains controls over the company’s assets and follows closing procedures.
• Maintains store cleanliness and merchandising standards for customer comfort.
• Ensures unused parts are returned to vendors and credits are processed.
