Job summary

Ross Stores, Inc. in Joliet, IL is seeking an experienced Store Manager to lead all store operations, staff development and payroll administration while upholding company standards. You will recruit, train and coach a diverse team to deliver strong sales and a friendly customer experience.

The role requires ensuring merchandise presentation, stockroom efficiency, and adherence to safety and store policies, including scheduling evenings and weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of Store management experience in retail.
• Must maintain a high level of Customer service.
• Must demonstrate the ability to lead, manage, motivate and communicate positively to Store Associates at all levels.
• Ability to train, coach and develop Associates at all levels.
• Ability to organize and prioritize tasks necessary to accomplish goals, develop a schedule to complete tasks and execute to achieve results.
• Fluency in English.
• Must exercise considerable independent judgement and discretion.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Leads all Store operations to meet Company standards and best practices.
• Manages payroll administration including scheduling and related reporting.
• Oversees recruitment, training and development of Store staff including Assistant Store Manager and Supervisors.
• Ensures merchandise is presented according to guidelines and that stockroom and sales floor operations are efficient.
