The role reports to the District Sales Manager and requires a strong customer-service focus, retail experience, and leadership capabilities to mentor a team of sales associates and managers in training.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Experience in retail, preferably footwear and athletic apparel.
• Experience in managing and cultivating a sales team.
• 3-5 years of customer service experience; 3+ years of management experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Analytical thinker with business acumen.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Drive store sales and sales goals, focusing on company growth.
• Manage and protect company assets in the designated store.
• Direct and oversee all sales efforts; mentor sales staff.
• Monitor store metrics, inventory, and expenses to drive profit.
• Collaborate with District Sales Manager to enforce policies and goals.
• Direct staff to complete responsibilities and standards in every department.
• Develop Sales Associates, Assistant Managers, and Managers in Training.
• Handle recruitment, hiring, training, and scheduling to meet labor goals.
• Ensure store security and work with Asset Protection to prevent shrink.
• Communicate inventory movement and drive inventory strategies.
• Implement marketing and advertising plans and track customer trends.
• Stay aware of competition and community events for opportunities.
