Job summary

Hibbett Retail, Inc. is looking for a Store Manager to oversee sales in all departments and supervise overall store operations, ensuring efficiency and profitability.

You will uphold company policies and drive growth through strong customer service and product knowledge. You will lead, mentor, and train a team of Sales Associates and Supervisors, manage payroll and scheduling, and partner with district leadership to execute plans that boost performance and shrink control.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field or equivalent experience.
• Experience in a retail environment, preferably footwear and athletic apparel.
• Experience in managing and cultivating a sales team.
• 3-5 years of customer service experience. 3+ years of management experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Analytical thinker with demonstrated business acumen.
• Ability to problem solve and juggle multiple tasks and priorities.
• A strong commitment to customer service.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Drive store sales and achieve sales goals while growing the business.
• Manage and control the assets of the company by managing their designated store.
• Direct and oversee entire sales efforts in the store; training and mentoring store associates in sales strategies and skills.
• Monitor sales statistics, inventory and expenses that together produce profit.
• Collaborate with District Sales Manager to enforce policies, goals, and procedures.
• Direct staff to ensure all responsibilities and standards in each department are completed.
• Mentor and cultivate a team of outstanding Sales Associates, Assistant Managers, and Managers in Training.
• Recruit, hire, training, discipline, and evaluation; manage payroll and scheduling to meet labor goals.
• Maintain proper security for the store; partner with Asset Protection to prevent theft and shrink.
• Communicate inventory movement and drive inventory goals.
• Provide information and follow through on marketing and advertising plans and stay aware of customer trends.
