Dollar General is seeking a Store Manager Candidate to support the Store Manager in daily store operations, staffing, inventory management, merchandising and compliance with company procedures.

This role develops internal candidates for the Store Manager position, drives excellent customer service, ensures safe, well-stocked stores, and assists in financial controls and reporting when needed.

Travel to nearby stores may be required to support openings, training and ongoing store support.”

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year of experience in a retail environment preferred for external candidates
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and procedures manuals
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures and inventory processes
• Familiarity with IBM cash register functions and reporting
• Knowledge of inventory management and merchandising practices
• Knowledge of recruiting, interviewing, hiring and retention processes including compliance
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills and organization abilities
• Ability to solve problems and handle varied situations
• Location-specific: bilingual Spanish speakers may be preferred

• Assist in recruiting and staffing activities.

• Assist in inventory management and auditing.
• Maintain in-stock targets and ordering practices.
• Provide customer service leadership.
• Operate store in manager's absence.
• Review operating statements for trends and cost control.
• Complete paperwork and documentation on schedule.
