Dollar General seeks a Store Manager Candidate to assist the Store Manager in staffing, inventory, merchandising, and daily store operations. The role includes supervising staff, ensuring cash controls, and maintaining a safe, well-stocked store environment.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma and retail experience; bilingual Spanish speakers are preferred in some locations. This is a full-time, on-site position with wage starting at $17.75–$23.96 hourly.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• One year of experience in a retail environment preferred for external candidates.
• Bilingual Spanish speakers may be preferred at some locations.

Responsibilities

• Assist in recruiting and staffing activities.
• Assist with store merchandising and stocking, pricing and storage.
• Help manage inventory, damages, markdowns and paperwork.
• Follow ordering practices to meet in-stock targets.
• Provide customer service leadership and store operations support.
• Open and close the store as needed; participate in cash handling and security tasks.
• Review operating reports for trends and performance.
