Qualifications

• Reads and interprets documents such as diagrams, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures manuals.
• Performs basic math calculations including addition, subtraction, multiplication and percentages.
• Understands cash handling procedures including cashier accountability and deposit controls.
• Learns and uses IBM cash register functions to generate reports.
• Keeps accurate inventory records and follows merchandising practices.
• Understands cash, facility and safety control policies (deposits, store keys, SAFE and STARS programs).

Responsibilities

• Assist in recruiting and staffing activities.
• Facilitate and participate in merchandising, staging, stocking, and pricing of merchandise.
• Assist in inventory management, including damages, markdowns, scans, paperwork and controls.
• Follow ordering practices to meet in-stock targets.
• Provide superior customer service leadership.
• Follow company procedures and policies as outlined in the handbook and SOP manual.
• Participate in store opening and closing activities.
• Ensure safe deposits of company funds in the bank.
• Maintain financial integrity through cashier accountability and cash control.
• Maintain clean, well-stocked stores and a safe environment for customers and employees.
• Operate store in the absence of the store manager.
• Review operating statements to identify trends and opportunities for efficiency and shrinkage control.
• Complete paperwork and documentation on time.
