The position involves assisting in recruiting, merchandising, inventory control, cashier integrity, and compliance with policies while ensuring a safe, well-stocked store and attentive customer service.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret diagrams, safety rules and procedures.
• Perform basic math including percentages for store operations.
• Understand cash handling and deposit controls.
• Learn IBM cash register functions and report generation.
• Know inventory management and merchandising practices.
• Follow cash, safety and store control policies.

Responsibilities

• Assist in recruiting and staffing activities.
• Support store merchandising and inventory processes.
• Help manage inventory, damages, markdowns and paperwork.
• Follow ordering practices to meet in-stock targets.
• Provide customer service leadership.
• Model company procedures and policies per handbook.
• Participate in opening/closing store activities.
• Ensure safe deposits and financial integrity.
• Maintain clean, well-stocked stores and safe environment.
• Assist in operating store in the manager's absence.
• Review operating statements for trends and opportunities.
• Complete all paperwork on time.
