Store Manager

As a Lush Store Manager, you embody our core values: Be Real, Be Curious, Lead Fearlessly, Adapt and Evolve, Grow Talent, and Live with Purpose. You lead by example in customer interaction, team motivation, and business decisions.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Recruiting and training your management and staff teams on brand, product, and service
  • Overseeing all retail aspects, from budgets to sales targets
  • Creating a positive environment that fosters excellent customer and staff experiences
  • Continuously assessing performance and seeking growth opportunities
Responsibilities:
Sales & Customer Experience:
  • Exceed sales goals and ensure a welcoming, inclusive customer experience
  • Educate customers and staff on brand values and ethical practices
  • Deepen product knowledge and make informed recommendations
  • Develop and execute business plans aligned with company strategy
Team Leadership:
  • Coach and develop your team, create development plans, and provide constructive feedback
  • Promote diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIB) initiatives
  • Manage performance and engagement, considering personal circumstances
  • Recruit diverse talent and support staff career growth
Operational Excellence:
  • Ensure compliance with policies and health & safety standards
  • Manage stock, inventory, and merchandising to meet KPIs
  • Create schedules that optimize staffing and staff wellbeing
Qualifications:

Required:

  • 3-5 years retail management experience
  • Strong HR skills: hiring, scheduling, training, conflict resolution, performance management
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills
  • Customer service, supervisory, and sales expertise
  • Interest in skincare, natural beauty, and ethics
  • Flexible availability including holidays, evenings, weekends

Preferred:

  • Experience with consultation-based service models
  • Proven track record in staff development and career progression
  • Proficiency in Excel, Microsoft Office, and adaptable systems
  • Experience with cross-cultural collaboration, DEIB, or social justice training
  • Fluency in additional languages (e.g., Spanish, French)
