Job summary

Dollar General seeks a Store Manager to lead all store operations, staffing, training, and compliance. You will oversee ordering, receiving, stocking, merchandising, and customer service to meet sales goals.

The role requires strong leadership, ability to recruit and develop staff, manage performance, and ensure safety and cash control. Experience in retail management preferred; bilingual skills may be a plus.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of cash handling procedures and deposits.
• Ability to read diagrams, safety rules, and procedures manuals.
• Experience with inventory, pricing, and merchandising practices.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for staff and customers.
• Familiarity with recruiting, interviewing, and termination practices.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, select and retain qualified employees per laws and policies.
• Provide training, conduct evaluations, and counsel when needed.
• Open and close the store as required; ensure proper staffing.
• Monitor sales, shrink, and stock levels; adjust orders weekly.
• Maintain cash control, inventory accuracy, and safety standards.
• Lead customer service and maintain a clean, well-organized store.
