Qualifications

• Read and interpret documents such as diagrams and procedures.
• Perform basic math calculations (addition, subtraction, percentages).
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures and deposits.
• Experience with IBM cash register functionality and reporting.
• Knowledge of inventory management and merchandising practices.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience recruiting, interviewing, hiring and termination processes.
• Familiar with federal and state labor laws.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, select and retain qualified employees and staff the store according to policies.
• Train employees, conduct performance evaluations and counsel when needed.
• Set pay rate recommendations and advancement paths.
• Communicate performance expectations and coordinate safety and policy meetings.
• Ensure proper staffing and opening/closing of the store.
• Monitor sales, expenses and inventory to meet targets; manage stock.
