Role Overview

Responsible for managing store operations, staff recruitment, training, and performance evaluations to ensure efficient daily functioning.

Key Responsibilities

• Recruit, select, and retain qualified employees while ensuring proper staffing levels.
• Provide employee training, conduct performance reviews, and address performance or conduct issues.
• Make recommendations on pay rates and advancement opportunities.
• Maintain effective communication regarding performance, safety, and store policies.
• Oversee store opening and closing, ensuring proper staffing and procedures.
• Analyze operating statements to identify trends, control expenses, and manage inventory.
• Order merchandise to meet or exceed stock targets, review seasonal plans, and manage inventory accuracy.
• Ensure merchandise presentation aligns with company standards, utilizing fixtures, signage, and pricing.
• Maintain inventory integrity, control damages, markdowns, and ensure cash and security procedures are followed.
• Lead customer service efforts and maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment.
• Comply with company policies and complete necessary documentation accurately and timely.

Qualifications & Skills

• Ability to interpret safety and operating documents, perform mathematical calculations, and handle cash procedures.
• Knowledge of inventory, merchandising, and security practices.

Experience & Education

High school diploma or equivalent preferred; management experience in retail advantageous.
