Job Objectives

Manages the operation of a Walgreens store, aiming to improve sales, profitability, and store image through effective merchandising, asset protection, team development, and delivering a distinctive customer and patient experience.

Job Responsibilities/Tasks

Customer Experience

• Monitor and analyze customer service, providing training and development for improvement.
• Greet and assist customers and clinic patients.
• Model customer service best practices to staff.
• Resolve complaints and address customer needs.

Operations

• Supervise store and pharmacy operations, including staffing and scheduling.
• Manage financial controls, cash handling, and bookkeeping.
• Oversee merchandising, inventory management, and store presentation.
• Ensure compliance with legal and company policies, including safety and technology systems.

Daily Planning and Execution

• Assign daily responsibilities and set expectations.

Business Performance Management

• Analyze financial data, develop action plans, and review KPIs.
• Address asset protection and pharmacy performance indicators.

Business Planning

• Identify sales opportunities and manage inventory levels.

People and Performance Management

• Manage team performance, hiring, training, and employee development.
• Address personnel issues and ensure fair treatment.

Training and Personal Development

• Participate in training and pursue necessary certifications.
• Engage in self-development and learning.

Communications

• Serve as liaison between district, corporate, and store teams.
• Conduct community outreach and participate in events.

External Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 3 years retail management or High School Diploma/GED with 5 years retail management experience.
• Pharmacy technician license or equivalent, as per state law.
• Flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree.
• PTCB or ExCPT Certification.
• Additional retail management experience, including supervising others.
