Job Summary

The Store Manager is responsible for supporting merchandising, operational, and human resources functions for an individual store to achieve or exceed sales and profits. This role requires a proactive individual who remains highly engaged with customers, demonstrates integrity, effective communication skills, and can work effectively in a dynamic retail environment. The Store Manager also plays a key role in building a positive work culture, driving employee involvement, and supporting change management within the organization.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Recruit, interview, hire, counsel, and manage termination practices, ensuring legal compliance and adherence to internal processes.
• Maintain financial controls including shrink, payroll, and other operating expenses.
• Ensure proper inventory controls, facilitate inventory transactions, and comply with shrink control standards.
• Monitor sales activities to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Supervise employees engaged in sales, inventory management, cash reconciliation, and customer service.
• Ensure staff compliance with Citi Trends policies and procedures.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities

• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Flexibility to work nights and weekends.
• Proficiency in mathematical calculations, including percentages.

Education/Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3-5 years of retail experience as a Store Manager.
• Additional 5-7 years of retail experience preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to work 45 hours per week, performing physical activities such as squatting, standing, walking, twisting, reaching, lifting, and grasping, with or without accommodations.
