At Hot Topic, we’re passionate about music, pop culture, and creating the most amazing in‑store experience for our customers and employees. We’re looking for a Store Manager who will bring fandom to life, lead the store to achieve sales targets, recruit, develop, and manage performance. You’ll be a retail maverick who can handle anything that comes your way, believes in developing talent, and provides the best customer service.

What You'll Do

• Ensure that your store achieves the sales plan and/or comp sales goals.
• Recruit, develop, and retain a super collaborative and passionate team to run your store alongside you.
• Lead the brand through customer engagement on social media, web applications, and clienteling.
• Maintain an operationally sound business with strong organizational structure, delegation, and customer‑first selling practices.
• Monitor shrink/loss prevention, payroll hours, schedules, and external factors that affect business.
• Collaboratively communicate with retail leadership and HQ partners on trends and customer feedback.
• Run sales reports and use data to guide strategy to hit targets.
• Adapt to new technologies, communicate company policies & procedures, and control supply ownership.
• Merchandise the store compellingly, leveraging planograms and launching promos on time.
• Build a bench of equally talented staff through mentorship, recognition, and feedback.

What You'll Need

• At least 1–2 years of retail store management experience; strong communication, recruiting, and operations skills.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent. A degree is a plus.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑changing industry and adapt to new challenges.
• Open‑mind and inquisitive regarding pop culture fandoms and music trends.
• Physically able to navigate the store, merchandise products, and handle merchandise up to 50 lb.
