About the Role
As a Store Manager, you’ll be responsible for the overall omni customer experience in your store, ensuring high visual and commercial standards aligned with store format, global, and regional strategies. You will lead the full store team to excel, creating an inclusive culture that promotes collaboration and entrepreneurial spirit. You’ll analyze sales data, follow up on performance, and develop plans to optimize results and profits.


A Day in the Life
Working at H&M means no two days are the same, but typical responsibilities include:

  • Managing the total omni customer experience, ensuring visual and commercial presentation according to guidelines
  • Representing the H&M brand positively during customer interactions
  • Establishing, analyzing, and following up on sales and budget goals, creating plans to optimize results
  • Providing excellent customer service and guiding customers through fashion stories
  • Promoting the Customer Loyalty App (Hello Member) and sustainability initiatives
  • Scheduling staff according to sales forecasts and commercial activities
  • Maintaining routines in fitting rooms and checkout processes
  • Identifying commercial opportunities by understanding store strengths and competitors
  • Managing store maintenance cost-effectively
  • Handling administrative routines for people and operations

Fashion & Trend Awareness

  • Keeping up to date with fashion trends, styles, brands, competitors, and influencers
  • Ensuring the team provides product and fashion knowledge to customers
  • Understanding local market, customer preferences, and fashion trends

Team & Development

  • Managing talent and performance, including recruiting, onboarding, and development
  • Conducting performance evaluations and succession planning
  • Sharing knowledge and skills within the team
  • Collaborating with the Area team and store leadership
  • Planning and scheduling team activities
  • Communicating regularly to motivate and inform staff
  • Ensuring compliance with procedures, routines, security, and legal requirements
  • Participating in onboarding, training, and development programs

Retail Operations/Visual & Commercial Execution

  • Maintaining a clean and organized store environment
  • Ensuring high-quality visual and product presentation
  • Managing stock levels and providing input on allocation
  • Supporting opening and closing routines
  • Overseeing the garment cycle and fitting room routines
  • Utilizing in-store tech tools and services effectively
  • Maintaining consistent price signage and store standards

Compensation: expected base salary range is $65,397-$76,787 annually
