About the Role

As a Store Manager, you'll be responsible for the total holistic omni customer experience in your store, ensuring high visual and commercial curation & standards according to the store format location and global & regional strategies. You have the responsibility of leading the full store team to excel. You create an inclusive culture that promotes collaboration and entrepreneurial spirit and are responsible & aware of the store's strengths, opportunities, and competitors. You'll also be the person who analyzes and follows up on sales, creating plans to optimize results and profits.

A Day in the Life

Working at H&M means no two days are ever the same, but a typical day will include the following responsibilities:

  1. Customer Sales & Profit
  2. Responsible for the total OMNI customer experience in your store, ensuring visual and commercial curation according to your store format environment, global guidelines, and regional strategies.
  3. Represent yourself and the H&M brand positively during all customer interactions.
  4. Establish, analyze, and follow up on sales & budget goals, and create plans to optimize results.
  5. Ensure personal customer service is provided in all areas of the store, guiding customers through fashion stories and actively selling our products.
  6. Promote our Customer Loyalty App (Hello Member) & in-store sustainability initiatives.
  7. Schedule to budgeted hours plan in line with sales budget and commercial activities.
  8. Ensure routines in fitting rooms and checkout are correct, including transactions, returns, and exchanges.
  9. Identify commercial opportunities and maintain competitor awareness & knowledge.
  10. Manage store maintenance cost-effectively.
  11. Handle all admin routines for both people and operations correctly.

Fashion & Trend Awareness

  1. Stay updated with fashion trends, styles, brands, competitors, and relevant influencers.
  2. Ensure your team provides product and fashion knowledge during customer interactions.
  3. Understand the local area, customers, competition, and fashion trends.

Team & Development

  1. Manage talent and performance, including recruiting, onboarding, upskilling, and developing your team.
  2. Conduct performance evaluations and succession planning.
  3. Share knowledge and skills with your team.
  4. Collaborate with Area team and store leadership including VMs.
  5. Maintain excellent communication & professionalism.
  6. Plan & schedule team activities.
  7. Communicate regularly to motivate and inform store staff.
  8. Follow all procedures, routines, security, and legal requirements.
  9. Participate in onboarding, training, and development courses.

Retail Operations/ Visual & Commercial Execution

  1. Maintain a clean and tidy sales floor and back of house.
  2. Ensure high-quality visual and product presentation.
  3. Maintain stock levels and provide input on allocation.
  4. Support daily store routines and processes.
  5. Manage the full garment cycle and fitting room routines according to standards.
  6. Utilize all tools and technologies for in-store OMNI services.
  7. Maintain consistent price signage following guidelines.
  8. Keep BOH areas organized and compliant with safety standards.

Qualifications

Additional Information

Compensation: expected base salary range is $65,397-$76,787 annually.
