The Midas Store Manager is responsible for business operations and store performance, including safety, efficiencies, and profit/loss accountability. They promote customer satisfaction and retention, and growth of existing and new business. The Store Manager oversees overall operations in terms of cost control, inventory management, environmental compliance, and safety. They provide strong leadership to cultivate a harmonious, collaborative, and productive work culture.

We seek a seasoned manager who will oversee operations, financial performance, morale, and growth initiatives. The ideal candidate has at least three years of experience in automotive repair, supervisory or management experience, a background in continuous improvement, P&L experience, and excellent interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage and direct all automotive and general service technicians, including recruiting, hiring, training, motivating, evaluating, scheduling, and coaching employees.
• Deliver exceptional customer service by listening to and consulting with customers.
• Follow up with customers regarding services requested, estimated completion times, etc.
• Oversee vehicle inspections and make comprehensive recommendations, build computerized repair orders, and source parts.
• Discuss pricing estimates with customers and promote shop service specials.
• Lead, manage, and train team members, aligning with company vision, purpose, core values, and employee creed.
• Oversee technicians' inspections, diagnosing, and repairing domestic, European, and Asian cars and light trucks.
• Maintain inventory counts and ensure overall cleanliness and organization of the facility, including environmental compliance.
• Manage employee payroll, record keeping of hours, and scheduling.
• Update and submit daily sales reports to Corporate.

• Strong POS computer and Internet skills.

• Ability to work a flexible retail schedule, including Saturdays.
