Job summary

AutoZone is seeking a Manager in Training (MIT) to develop leadership, customer service excellence, and operational expertise. You will receive hands-on assignments and learning opportunities aimed at progressing to Retail Store Management within 8–12 weeks, depending on experience and performance.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years of retail management experience, are fluent in English with Spanish a plus, and can work a full-time, flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of prior experience as a retail manager or supervisor.
• Flexible full-time schedule including mornings, nights, weekends, and overtime.
• Bilingual Spanish and English is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a high-performing store team.
• Communicate clearly with employees and customers to drive execution.
• Learn to manage and reconcile monthly P&L statements to optimize profitability.
• Support store operations with structured training processes.
• Assist with staffing, mentoring, and on-the-job training.
• Oversee customer service activities and resolve issues proactively.
• Supervise inventory accuracy, merchandising, and sales strategies.
• Complete management skills training and learn AutoZone culture.
