Job summary

Macy's invites rising juniors to join a nationwide, on-site Store Management Internship Program. This 8-week paid internship covers customer service, merchandising, business analysis, visual presentation, store operations, and leadership development from June through August 2027.

You’ll learn from store leaders, shadow Operations and Visual Merchandising, and gain practical experience coaching colleagues while supporting daily operations and strategic merchandising decisions.

Qualifications

In junior year, pursuing a bachelor's degree from an accredited university; GPA 3.0+ preferred.
All majors considered for this internship opportunity.
Ability to sit, interact, and participate in a fast-paced retail environment.

Responsibilities

Shadow store Managers to learn leadership practices and receive feedback.
Plan and execute merchandising initiatives to boost performance.
Engage with leaders across store and regional functions.
Develop a customer-focused selling environment through coaching.
Support daily store operations by training colleagues and ensuring process discipline.
Analyze trends with partners to select merchandise aligning with customer needs.
Contribute to retail strategy discussions with data-driven insights.
Participate in a performance-driven team, embracing collaboration and growth.
Propose ideas for business growth through a final project and presentation.
