Job summary

Macy’s is offering an 8-week Store Management Internship nationwide, on-site in major market stores, from June through August 2027. The program provides exposure to customer service, merchandising, business analysis, visual presentation, store operations, and colleague development.

You will shadow Managers of Sales & Customer Experience, Operations, and Visual Merchandising, while learning to coach teams, analyze trends, and contribute to retail strategies.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree with a 3.0 GPA minimum preferred.
• Majors all considered for this opportunity.
• On-site internship available nationwide in Macy’s major market stores.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with leadership to learn and apply best practices in selling and customer experience.
• Shadow managers of operations and visual merchandising to plan and execute product initiatives.
• Engage with leaders across different business functions within your store and region.
• Develop coaching skills to support and grow a team of colleagues.
• Support daily store operations through training and guidance of staff.
• Analyze trends with partners to select merchandise that meets customer needs.
• Explore retail strategies by analyzing big-picture business dynamics.
• Contribute to a high-performance team focused on collaboration and growth.
• Implement ideas through daily practice and a final project presented to leadership.
• Foster an environment of inclusion and respect with colleagues, customers, and communities.
