Job summary

Academy Sports + Outdoors is seeking a Logistics Manager to oversee day‑to‑day store operations including logistics, merchandising, and receiving, with a sharp focus on inventory flow, safety, and execution excellence.

You will collaborate with the Store Director and fellow leaders to drive performance, coach team members, balance staffing and payroll, and translate corporate strategy into in‑store results while upholding our commitment to customers and teammates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of leadership or management experience.
• Demonstrated success leading departments up to 40 team members and achieving sales targets.
• Strong leadership and coaching skills with the ability to develop people.
• Solid business acumen with the ability to interpret operational and financial data.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with inventory systems, order processing, payroll systems, and Microsoft Office.
• Sound judgment and decision‑making in a fast‑paced environment.
• Ability to complete required certifications, including Firearms Sales and Power Industrial Truck.
• Ability to audit firearm sales in compliance with federal/state requirements (ATF Form 4473, background checks).
• A team-first attitude; flexible to step in where needed.

Responsibilities

• Analyze operational performance and implement improvements to elevate productivity and efficiency.
