Job summary

Lidl US in Maryland is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager, coach the store team, and deliver the Lidl shopping experience customers expect. You will take ownership of store performance and foster a proactive leadership style across operations and people development.

You will lead daily tasks, ensure excellent service, manage KPIs, and assist with merchandising, cash handling, stock, and safety.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of management experience or a bachelor’s degree.
• Proactive, customer-focused leadership in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent customer service skills, including de-escalation.
• Willingness to participate in physical store operations daily.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and reach above 10 inches.
• ServSafe certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate the team to reach full potential under the Store Manager.
• Provide excellent customer service and be the main contact for customer needs.
• Monitor and drive improvement of store KPIs.
• Lead weekly promotional store sets and routine re-merchandising projects.
• Provide hands-on support for cash handling, stock, cleaning, and daily operations.
• Maintain a safe, positive, and productive work environment per policies.
