Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in business concentration, such as Finance, Accounting, Marketing, Management, Business Administration, Supply Chain/Logistics, or others.
• Prior work as an Assistant Store Manager and/or Store Manager in a nationally or regionally recognized grocery company and/or big box retail company.
• Proficiency in scheduling, ordering, inventory, payroll, P&L analysis, project management, and personnel management.
• Knowledge of employment law, interview techniques, and general retail hiring practices.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, leadership, and organizational skills, and ability to earn the confidence of associates, customers, and management alike.
• Experience managing an effective community relations program.
• Staffers must be willing to work required hours, travel and take assignment within the regional business areas (Washington/Virginia/Maryland/Delaware).

Responsibilities

• Lead store operations and set the tone for customer service in a high-volume environment.
• Coach, train, and develop department managers and associates.
• Manage budgets, scheduling, expenses, and payroll allocation; analyze reports and trends to maximize profitability.
• Ensure planogram accuracy, product presentation, and inventory control.
• Enforce SOPs, safety standards, and regulatory requirements; conduct inspections and corrective actions.
• Drive revenue through merchandising, promotions, and service execution; monitor KPIs and sales goals.
• Foster engagement, morale, and a positive work culture; communicate expectations across levels.
• Partner with corporate, vendors, and cross-functional teams; lead effective meetings and performance discussions.
