Job summary

The candidate will assist with customer service leadership, loss prevention, and adherence to policies while participating in opening/closing duties and bank deposits.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret diagrams, safety rules, and procedures.
• Basic math including percentages and simple calculations.
• Knowledge of cash handling and deposit controls.
• Ability to learn IBM cash register functions and generate reports.
• Knowledge of inventory management and merchandising practices.
• Familiar with store security and cash control procedures.
• Experience recruiting, interviewing, and hiring with compliance awareness.
• Strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Organized and detail-oriented with problem-solving ability.
• Some bilingual Spanish preference at certain locations.

Responsibilities

• Assist in recruiting and staffing activities.
• Assist with store merchandising and pricing according to practice and direction.
• Assist in inventory management, including damages, markdowns, and paperwork.
• Follow ordering practices to meet in-stock targets.
• Provide superior customer service leadership.
• Model company procedures and policies from handbook and SOPs.
• Participate in opening and closing activities.
• Ensure secure deposit of company funds.
• Maintain cashier accountability and cash control.
• Maintain clean, well-stocked stores and safe environment.
• Operate store in the store manager's absence.
• Review operating statements for trends and opportunities.
• Complete paperwork and documentation on time.
