Job summary

Jacksons Food Stores, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Manager in Training (AIT) for a full-time overnight role. You will gain hands-on experience across store operations, coaching, expenses control, and merchandising. The program aims to prepare you for advancement within the company.

Compensation starts at $18.00 per hour with a $1.00 overnight shift differential; full benefits apply, and opportunities for internal growth are highlighted through the tuition reimbursement and 401(k) options.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Open availability for 24/7 operation, including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Leadership experience supervising teams in food service or retail.
• At least 3 months of customer service experience in a retail setting.
• Must be of legal age to sell alcohol and tobacco.

Responsibilities

• Provide courteous customer service and greet all customers.
• Follow policy and procedures with employees.
• Suggest purchases and promote store specials.
• Ensure sanitation and proper food handling/storage.
• Maintain cleanliness of building and equipment.
• Minimize out of stock by restocking shelves and displays.
• Assist in training new employees.
• Prepare and assist with weekly supplier orders.
• Respond to emergencies when Store Manager is unavailable.
• Operate register and other store equipment.
