Job summary

Journeys in Spartanburg, SC is seeking a Store/Co-Manager candidate to support recruiting, hiring, training, and guiding store personnel toward sales goals. The role focuses on protecting assets and driving performance in a fast-paced teen retail environment.

You will help develop a high-energy sales team, ensure adherence to policy, and promote Journeys culture with enthusiasm. This position offers opportunities for advancement within the company.

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Desire to succeed in fast-paced retail environment.
• Willingness to learn and grow within the company.
• Ability to work 45 hours per week including nights and weekends.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Meet and exceed store and personal sales goals and standards of performance.
• Assist in recruiting and hiring of high caliber employees with in-store needs.
• Assist in training and developing a successful sales team.
• Provide feedback, coaching, and accountability to all employees by enforcing company policies.
• Ensure proper implementation of company initiatives and alignment with direction.
• Recognize talented staff and develop them for growth within the company.
• Supervise and manage all aspects of daily store operations.
• Supervise Loss Prevention practices in the absence of Store Manager and Manager In Training.
• Communicate store needs to Store Manager and Manager In Training.
• Resolve customer issues effectively.
• Provide a fun, full service experience to all customers.
• Understand Journeys culture and model it to the team.
• Excel in customer service and interpersonal interactions.
