Famous Footwear in Pueblo, CO is seeking an Assistant Store Manager who leads the store team to deliver a top-notch customer experience. You’ll coach associates, recruit and develop talent, and ensure everyday operations support sales growth and store goals.

As the store’s acting leader in the Manager’s absence, you’ll drive engagement, uphold brand standards, and maintain a positive, inclusive work environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1+ year of sales experience, retail preferred.
• Experience in interviewing, hiring, and training people.
• Ability to lead, motivate, and communicate with store Associates.
• Demonstrates strong problem solving, decision making, and numerical analysis.
• Flexible schedule including holidays, nights, weekends, and extended hours.
• Advanced understanding of general retail practices and procedures.
• Mentors and trains associates on selling techniques and operations.

Responsibilities

• Inspire associates to build customer connections and deliver flawless service.
• Collaborate with the Store Manager to interview, hire and train new team members.
• Oversee daily retail operations, pricing, shipping, inventory, and staffing needs.
• Use insights to drive sales and improve location performance.
• Build a culture that values diversity, inclusion, and engagement.
• Step into the Store Manager's role when needed and ensure program compliance.
