Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Store Manager responsible for leading all store operations, staffing, training, and inventory control. You will ensure compliance with policies, drive sales, manage opening/closing, and uphold customer service excellence in a fast-paced retail environment.

Strong emphasis on recruiting, coaching, and adherence to labor laws and safety standards while maintaining accurate inventory and merchandising standards across the store.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and interpret diagrams, safety rules, operating instructions and procedures.
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations including percentages for sales reports and labor planning.
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures including cashier accountability and deposits.

Responsibilities

• Oversee planning and execution of store processes: ordering, receiving, stocking, presentation and selling.
• Recruit, hire, train, evaluate and counsel employees; ensure proper staffing and performance.
• Determine pay/advancement considerations and communicate expectations and safety standards.
• Lead daily operations: manage opening/closing, communicate policies, and supervise staff.
• Monitor sales and inventory trends; review ordering plans and cycle counts weekly.
• Ensure accurate pricing, merchandising presentation and signage; maintain inventory controls.
• Uphold cash controls, security practices and customer service leadership.
• Maintain a clean, safe store environment and compliant with policies.
