Qualifications

• The Meijer Store Leadership Internship is designed for students currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program.
• Ability to work flexible shifts to gain exposure to the full operation of the store.
• Prior leadership responsibilities in work or extracurricular activities strongly preferred.
• Passion for retail and a desire to enter a career in store leadership.
• Drive for results and a focus on the bottom line.
• Customer focus and ability to meet internal and external customer expectations.
• Relationship skills to build positive working relationships with customers and team members.

Responsibilities

• Plans, directs and supervises team members in the day-to-day operations within various departments of the store.
• Serves as the mentor and coach for all team members.
• Implements strategies to improve customer service, drive store sales, and maintain company standards.
• Maintain store appearance with emphasis on prime shopping hours and product presentation.
• Mentor and coach new team members to ensure onboarding and training are completed.
