Job summary

Ross Stores, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Torrance, CA to lead daily store operations, supervise Associates, and ensure excellent customer service.

You will monitor payroll, scheduling and compliance while maintaining our brand standards and store presentation. This role requires at least two years of retail management experience, English fluency, and flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of Store or Assistant Store Manager experience in a retail environment.
• Ability to supervise, motivate and communicate positively to Store Associates at all levels.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize and exercise independent judgment.
• Maintain high quality of customer service and fluency in English.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the management and supervision of all areas assigned by the Store Manager and follows policies in regard to Customers, Associates and merchandising.
• In the absence of the Store Manager, the Assistant Manager leads the entire operation to ensure standards are met.
• Assist with payroll administration including daily punch edits and scheduling compliance.
• Ensure compliance with state, local and federal regulations and maintain a safe and clean store environment.
• Provide excellent customer service and oversee merchandising, training, and store operations.
