Dollar General Corporation is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help maintain a clean, organized store with a customer-first focus. You will assist with supervision, merchandise presentation, deposits, and cash control, while supporting the Store Manager in day-to-day operations.

The role involves stocking, cashier duties, scheduling, training, and ensuring policy compliance to maximize profitability and minimize losses. A strong attention to detail and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• One year of experience in a retail environment and six months supervisory experience preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to read and interpret store procedures and safety rules.
• Ability to perform basic math and operate a cash register.

Responsabilités

• Provide superior customer service leadership; greet and assist customers, and operate cash register and scanner during purchases.
• Open and close the store a minimum of two days per week.
• Assist Store Manager with scheduling employees and training, and conduct safety meetings.
• Manage merchandise flow: receiving, stocking, rotating displays and planograms.
