Job summary

Walmart in Portage, Indiana is seeking a dynamic store leader to train and develop teams, coach associates, and drive daily store operations with a focus on customer service and community engagement.

You will supervise budgeting and scheduling, monitor inventory, merchandising, and shrink, and implement action plans to hit sales and profit goals while upholding integrity and the One Best Way operating standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop teams by teaching, training, and actively listening to associates; tour stores and provide feedback.
• Communicate and collaborate with all levels on store operations; drive change initiatives and business solutions.
• Model exceptional customer service using the One Best Way service model; support customer service initiatives and community programs.
• Drive financial performance: review PL statements, budgeting, forecasting, and control expenses; ensure merchandising and seasonal transitions meet goals.
• Provide supervision and development opportunities for hourly associates: hiring, training, mentoring, setting clear expectations, recognizing performance.
• Coordinate activities with stakeholders; establish goals, measure progress, and address improvement opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with policies and the Open Door Policy; promote a culture of belonging and integrity.
