Job summary

TOMMY HILFIGER at Fashion Outlets of Chicago is seeking an Assistant Manager to share in overall store performance, staff development and cost control. You will help recruit, coach and motivate a team while ensuring the store reflects the Tommy Hilfiger image in appearance and service.

You will manage daily operations, protect assets, and drive sales growth and productivity, ensuring high customer satisfaction and brand integrity.

Responsibilities

• Generate sales and profit, minimize losses and keep the store visually distinctive.
• Identify and implement strategies to achieve and exceed business goals.
• Maintain customer service standards to the highest level.
• Demonstrate effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Represent the Tommy Hilfiger image through appearance and conduct.
• Oversee productivity, profitability, staffing and inventory results.
• Act in the store’s absence as delegated by GM/SM or Associate Manager.
• Manage time and priorities to meet store objectives.
• Understand and comply with company policy, procedures and operations.
• Maintain security and safety awareness within the store.
• Analyze problems, propose alternatives and implement solutions.
• Control expenses, including payroll allocations.
• Attend mall meetings in the absence of senior management.
• Follow Inventory Shrinkage Improvement Program.
• Oversee shipment processing, inventory counting and price changes.
• Ensure tools and resources are available and properly used.
• Manage store openings and closings.
• Take direction and complete assigned tasks promptly.
• Assist in recruiting and hiring sales associates with strong presentation skills.
• Develop associates in product, merchandising, operations and service.
• Motivate staff to meet store goals and growth targets.
• Handle difficult situations professionally and effectively.
• Seek support when needed and maintain teamwork.
• Supervise the sales floor to maintain awareness.
• Participate in management and staff meetings and lead by example.
• Maintain confidentiality and meet commitments.
• Oversee direct supervision of departments and drive performance.
• Execute merchandising directives and timely markdowns.
• Analyze sales data to identify top and slow sellers.
• Maintain store presentation to brand standards and cleanliness.
• Know sales floor and stockroom organization well and keep informed of issues.
